I’m William, and I was born and raised on a farm in North Norfolk. My dad introduced me to golf when I was 12 years old and I immediately fell in love with the game. From that point on I had a desire to be a professional sportsman, and I felt that golf was my best option to follow this dream.

At the age of 16, when my handicap was 12, many doubted my chances of pursuing a professional golf career. But in the next couple of years my game progressed and I was given the opportunity to continue my education, taking my golf game to the next level.

The head golf coach from the University of Missouri, Mark Leroux, took a chance on me and offered me a scholarship in 2007. I was able to compete against the best young players on the US college tour and even earned myself a degree in Agricultural Economics.
